Breedclub

The Maremma Sheepdog in Holland is officially represented by the VHB, Vereniging van Herders- en Berghonden uit Zuid- en Oost-Europa en Azië (www.vhbinfo.com) - roughly translated Breedclub of Pastoral and Mountain dogs from South- and Eastern Europe and Asia. An important task for every breedclub is to form a breeding policy. When you want to know if your breeder fulfills the requirments of the breeding policy and breeds in a responsable way, ask your breedclub first.
Apart from the Dutch breedclub, we are also member of the British Maremma Sheepdog Club of Great Britain, and of course the official Italian breedclub: Circolo Pastore Maremmano-Abruzzese (www.cpma.it)
